Ill just start of by saying i have looked over Reddit Briefly and also done some googling and haven't found an answer so sorry if this has been discussed.

I have a couple games under my belt now with a small group of friends who play one of which plays necrons and as a cost saving measure i use his Xenos 1 index. I would like to know if i should buy Xenos 1 for myself because to my knowledge the Eldar Codex should be out within a month. I really want my own book for my rules. I guess the main thing i want to know is will Xenos 1 be obsolete and outright replaced by the codex or will it still be needed in any manner because if ill never need the Xenos 1 book after a month id really like to index xenos 1 pdf download not buy it.
I think of you want to learn your army it's a great way to start. I know there are some differences in the codex and the index like unit costs, and the codex adds stratagems and more psychic stuff. So if money is tight and you have access to an index I would wait to get the codex. Yeah that's what i expected. I am happy using my friends for now but i want to own my own rules as he may not always be there. The deciding factor for me is when the codex comes out, do we know if the index ever be needed after that?
The index will still be needed until everything in it has it's own codex. As has been said in 7th each faction had their own codex and stuff so until the all come out the index is the way to go.

I'd very much like a hardcopy and I'm not saying I can't afford it I just don't want to be throwing money into a fire ironic I know since I just tarted collecting plastic crack. If you intend to use Dark Eldar, Harlequins, or Ynnari, the Index would still be useful after the Craftworlds codex is released. If you don't intend to mix in any of the other Eldar factions, then index will likely be useless to you after the codex drops. Someone else already mentioned Battlescribe, and that would be my recommendation if you want to wait out the codex release without an index or piracy, index xenos 1 pdf download.
